The Convener of Ondo State Football Stakeholders Forum and President, Ologbese Football Academy, Otunba Dele Ologbese has applauded Interim Management Committee, IMC disbursements of #200 millions to twenty Premiership league clubs.
In a chat with newsmen in Akure, the immediate past Ondo Football Association’s Vice Chairman, Ologbese hailed giant strides undertaken by IMC which he described as unprecedented in annals of Nigeria’s football history.
In his own words he said, “these are indeed monumental developments in Nigeria’s football history”
“Never in annals of Nigeria’s football history had organizers given high considerations towards strengthening Nigeria’s leagues as strongly this which gives great hope and good signs Nigeria’s Premiership clubs would come up brilliantly or be in killer moods taking on their contemporaries in Africa or other parts of the world in winning major continental and international lourels or trophies.
“It’s an eyesore former organizers paid lip services to the sector through amateurish handlings of Leagues which makes commentators ridiculously considered our leagues as lacking in contents”
“IMC under Otunba Gbenga Otolorin Elegbeleye’s watch in few months of its inauguration had progressively changed the arkwardly narratives for better through reengineering of NPFL towards making it more purposeful, vibrant and to complete favourably with other well organized Leagues in Africa”
“The #200 Million presented to twenty Premiership clubs by IMC as take off funds should therefore be seen as right step in right direction which should be enviably acknowledged and thounderously applauded by all stakeholders in Nigeria'”
It’s expected that Premiership clubs owners would see this largesse as wake up call for them to properly service their respective clubs through prompt payments of their players and officials salaries including other entitlements and also perform extraordinarily well in the upcoming league which starts on January 8, 2023″
