Following a 1-1 draw against Remo Stars in Ikenna on Sunday, Bendel Insurance manager, Monday Odigie has revealed the objective of the team for the current campaign.
Speaking to Tagetsoccer after the game, Monday accepted the result in Ikenne, urging the players to improve their performance in their upcoming game in the league.
“We tried our best and we hoped for victory before the game but we take this point as it came and hope to bounce back with good display in our next game,” Odigie added.
When asked about the objective of the team for the season, Monday said the team is closer to its aim, stating that qualifying for the Super Six spot is the ambition.
“We are getting closer to our objective which is securing a Super Six spot. It is important for the players not to relent at this crucial point of the season,” he said.
“We know how difficult things can be now with a lot of teams fighting for Super Six and also others battling to escape relegation,” he concluded.
However, Insurance are the only team yet to taste defeat in the NPFL this campaign with four games remaining in the regular season. Bendel Insurance will face El-Kanemi Warriors in their next league game.
