Nigeria’s Super Falcons squad numbers for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup have been released.
The West Africans will be making their 10th appearance at the global soccer fiesta.
Barcelona Femeni forward Asisat Oshoala, who is the team’s biggest star, will don the No. 8 shirt.
Experienced striker Desire Oparanozie, who is expected to lead the line for the team in Australia and New Zealand, will put on the No. 9 shirt.
Benfica midfielder Christy Ucheibe will wear the popular No. 10 shirt.
Captain Onome Ebi kept her No. 5 shirt, while another key member of the team, Rasheedat Ajibade, has been assigned the No. 15 jersey.
The Super Falcons are drawn in Group B with Canada, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland.
The former African champions will begin their campaign against Olympic champions Canada at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium on Friday, July 21.
