South Africa head coach Hugo Broos is confident the Bafana Bafana can beat the Super Eagles to the 2026 FIFA World Cup ticket.
Broos’ side will face the Super Eagles in Group C of the African zone of the qualifiers.
Zimbabwe, Benin Republic, Rwanda, and Lesotho are the other teams in the group.
The top team in the group will earn automatic qualification to the 2026 World Cup which will be jointly hosted by the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico.
The Belgian believes his side has the quality to make it in the group.
“The away games will be very important in a group like ours, but now a little bit more because we have five difficult away games for different reasons,” he told safa.net.
“I think it is possible for South Africa to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup first in the group.”
The qualifiers will start in November
