The Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club. (3SC) of Ibadan, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, has reiterated the club’s commitment to the welfare of the players and officials.
The 3SC helmsman, while addressing the players on Monday, during the End of the Year get together organised by the Management for the players, held at the players’ Jericho Camp, reassured the players of the best of welfare package.
“I want to appreciate you for what you have done so far, and I am happy on our side, we are also making you happy. However, let me tell you that you have not seen anything yet.
“There was a time things were so hard for the team but the story has changed under the administration of His Excellency, Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, who has made the club his priority”, added the 3SC boss who confirmed the payment of 13th month salary to the team.
He charged the players to continue to demonstrate high level of commitment and discipline as well as the spirit of oneness, urging them to go for victory in all their league matches.
Honourable Olaniyan, lauded the General Manager, Dimeji Lawal, the Director of Adminstration, Alhaji Rahman Olapade, the head coach of the club, Gbenga Ogunbote, his assistants as well as the backroom staff for their efforts so far.
Earlier, the acting General Manager, Dimeji Lawal, while welcoming the players to the get together, said the event was packaged to appreciate their relentless efforts so far and to also encourage them for the task ahead.
Coach Gbenga Ogunbote, in his own words, praised the Management for deeming it fit to organise the get together for the players as a way of appreciating their sacrifice during the festive period.
Stand in captain, Opeoluwa Olufemi, appreciated the Management on behalf of his colleagues, promising that they will reciprocate the gesture with positive results when the season commences.
The get together had in attendance, the Director of Administration and Supply, Alhaji Rahman Olapade, assistant coaches, Abimbola Lawal, Kola Ige, Abayoni Adigun and John Dosu, team doctor, Dr Falade Babatunde, the TMS Manager, Marouph Adekunle, as well as backroom staff, adminstrative staff and friends of the club.
