The 2022 edition of Ade Abbey four-in-one football tournament kickstarted this evening with a match at the free age category.

It was a between the defending champions Opeyemi FA and All-stars FC.
Opeyemi FA emerged victorious by Beating All-stars FC 3-1.
The Beulah playing ground was filled to the brim as spectators trooped in to catch the glimpse of the showpiece.

Last tournament’s leading scorer Akindasa Gbamila put in a lovely which evaded All-stars’ defenders and Oyekanmi Olawale lobbed in the ball put Opeyemi FA ahead inside two minutes of Actions.

Akindasa Gbamila turned from provider to scorer when tapped-in Captain’s cross to double Opeyemi’s advantage.
After a disastrous opening half show from All-stars,they regrouped and had a penalty after one of Opeyemi’s defenders committed an infringement inside the box.Obago converted it successfully to reduce the deficit for All-stars FC.
Opeyemi FA held on to the lead as Center referee signaled for halftime.Upon the resumption of the second half, All-stars FC piled on pressure on Opeyemi’s defenders in a bid to restore parity,
However, all efforts were thwarted by resolute Opeyemi’s defenders.

Afuwa Abiodun put the ice on the cake for Opeyemi when he lobbed in the ball having being assisted one of his teammates.
Earlier, The FA Chairman of Odigbo local government Dimeji Abimbola appreciated the sponsor for contributing its quota to football developments in Odigbo local government.
He urged the participating teams to be well behaved not to dissuade the donor from sponsoring the tournament subsequently.

Oyekanmi Olawale who scored the first goal was compensated with a token of #2000 being powered Odigbo FA vice-chairman Babatope Matthew.
The Man of the match in today’s game,Rasheed Anjola of Opeyemi FA was given a complete Sunshine Queens jersey while All-stars FC Coach who was adjudged to be the best coach for the day was a Sunshine Stars Jersey being powered Odigbo FA chairman Dimeji Abimbola.
Dignitaries who graced the opener were:Odigbo FA chairman Dimeji Abimbola,his vice- Chairman babatope Matthew,sponsor Comrade Adeniyi Joshua, co-sponsors Comrade West B, Pastor Jumtom and YAR Y.K
Others were Elder Alao, Alhaji Opeyemi,Mr Lekan Santa, Mr Tafa Mr Wale,Mr Awe Raymond and host of others.

Four matches will be decided tomorrow Viz:
Wifa will tackle Unity FA by 9am while Express will slug out with Ola FA by 12noon.
Unity will go head to head with Delab by 2pm while Amazing will entertain highlander by 4pm.
All tomorrow’s matches are to be played at Beulah playing ground,Ore.
