AFCON U-20: Flying Eagles Start on a Losing Note After being edged by Senegal

0

The impeccable preparatory games results of the Flying Eagles didn’t count as the team started their campaign at the ongoing AFCON under 20 tournament on a losing note.

The Flying Eagles were much of a better side throughout the encounter but a first half goal was enough to send the Landan Bosso boys fretting .

Souleymane Faye of CF Talavera of Spain scored five minutes from the end of first half to condemned the Flying

Eagles to the bottom of the table.

It got bad for the team when Abdullahi Musa was shown a red card for infringements.

A must win game against Egypt in the second match will put the lads back in contention for a world cup ticket or they may as well kiss the tournament bye with any contrary result.

In the first game played earlier, Egypt and Mozambique ended that encounter in a barren draw and both will look up their next game for a possible win.
