The African Youth Games may be heading towards Jeopardy following the unserious attitude of Congo Brazzaville to host the imposing youth event.

With less than 20 days to the commencement of the game it is not yet sure if the Future Eagles of Nigeria will ever participate in any important competitions in 3 years.

Head Coach of the Future Eagles of Nigeria, Usman Haruna Ilerika disclosed to Apexmedia2020.blogspot.com that the Host country is no longer serious about hosting.

“The problem is that Congo has not agreed fully that they will host since they were given the mandate to host last November”.

He opined that the arrangement between ANOCA which is the body that regulates Africa’s Olympic and the Congolese wasn’t solid.

“The arrangement is not solid if not the Future Eagles would have been in camp by now”.

Accordingly to him, participating in the forthcoming African Youth Games may not be possible due to lack of interest from the host nation.

“Future Eagles participation in this African Youth Games is the hands of God because nobody is sure of what is going on”.

The African Youth Games has suffered several postponements since the last 2 years.

Lesotho was originally billed to host, then Ethiopia, later Egypt and now Congo Brazzaville.
