Chuba Akpom will complete a move to Ajax Amsterdam after the Eredivisie giants agreed a deal with Sky Bet Championship club, Middlesbrough.
Akpom was on the verge of sealing a move to RC Lens last week but the Ligue 1 outfit pulled out at the last minute despite already agreeing a deal with Middlesbrough.
According to The Athletics, Ajax struck a deal with Middlesbrough for the striker on Sunday night.
The Amsterdam club will pay £12m plus £2m add-ons for the Nigerian-born player.
Akpom will undergo medical on Monday (today) and then sign a five-year contract.
The 27-year-old was top scorer in the Sky Bet Championship last season with 28 goals.
The forward was also named Player of the Season in the division.
He is yet to make an appearance for Boro this season because of injury.
