Alhassan Yusuf will tonight make his UEFA Champions League bow with Belgian double champions Antwerp at Barcelona.
The midfielder played a pivotal role for Antwerp to win both the league and Cup in Belgium last season.
The Belgian champions snubbed a Hellas Verona bid for the Nigerian star in the summer amid interests from Ligue 1 and Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.
However, the versatile midfielder may not start at Camp Nou as coach and former Barcelona star Mark van Bommel has lately preferred Mandela Keita ahead of him.
The younger Mandela took his chance when Alhassan nursed an ankle injury for several months.
He may therefore have to join the fray from the bench as he has done in the team’s recent matches.
Shakhtar Donetsk and FC Porto are the other teams in Group H.
