The Ikenne-Based Academy will be joining 49 different clubs from 12 countries
Remo Stars Academy Beyond Limits will be participating in the 2023 Adidas Cup in the USA.
The Ikenne-Based Academy will be joining 49 different clubs from 12 countries on four continents.
Players age U-17 and U-15 compete in tournaments at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, from April 1–9.
Eighty teams total will participate, and all 29 MLS clubs will have academy representation in both the U-17 and U-15 divisions.
For the first time in the competition’s 14-year existence, MLS teams won the U-17 (Seattle Sounders FC) and U-15 (Portland Timbers) divisions in 2022.
MLS Vice President of Player Youth and Development Fred Lipka said the Generation Adidas Cup helped to unite world-class youth talent across the globe.
He said, “Generation Adidas Cup brings together an elite group of world-class youth talent from around the globe and provides an exceptionally competitive environment for participating MLS Next clubs.
Top-tier international competition is an important catalyst in the development of talent and the 80 participating teams will provide an incredible opportunity for all involved.
”Beyond Limits are the champions of the 2023 season in The Creative Championship League.
