Delta Queens FC on Friday defeated Sam Nelly Of Benin Republic two nil at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City to qualify for the Quarter Finala of the ongoing WAFU Zone B Qualifier.
The Second match for the Pearls which was like a formality outing for the Asaba based side who had qualified for the quarter finals with a game at hand, saw three changes from the team that secured a three nil victory in their first game.
The encounter which started slowly, stretched into the 34th minute before new girl Temitope Owoye scored the only goal that seperated both sides in the first half.
On resumption of the second half, Ifeoma Ifitezue sealed Delta Queens victory with a 54″ goal.
With the Victory, Delta Queens with five goals in two games finished on top of group A with maximum six points, to remain the only side that did not concede a goal in the first round.
Delta Queens will next face Athletico in the quarter of finals encounter.
