Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribi is fit for Southampton’s Sky Bet Championship opening game of the season against Sheffield Wednesday, according to manager, Russell Martin.
The midfielder missed the Saints’ last two pre-season friendlies against Bournemouth and AZ Alkmaar due to injury.
Martin has now confirmed Aribo’s availability for Friday’s fixture.
“Stuey [Armstrong] is back, Joe Aribo’s back, Jan Bednarek’s back, so that’s really positive for us – three really good players and good characters who will help us, for sure,” he told the club’s official website.
The 27-year-old joined Southampton from the Scottish Premiership club, Rangers last summer.
Southampton were relegated from the Premier League after a dismal campaign.
