Two top performers for Nigeria at the just-concluded Commonwealth Games, Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume have arrived in Abuja on Wednesday night ahead of the athletes visit to the Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari at the Villa, Sportgister.com.ng reports.
The duo arrived Private Jet Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja at 9:37pm with the Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare, President, Athletics Federation of Nigeria, Tonobok Okowa as well as MD/CEO of Premium Trust bank, Emmanuel Emefinem.
Meanwhile, plans have been concluded by the Federal Government to host athletes who made Nigeria proud at the Commonwealth Games in England. Nigeria ended the tournament as the best African sporting country, ranked 7th on the overall medals table with 12 gold 9 Silver, and 14 Bronze medals totalling 35.Speaking at the Airport, elated Ese Brume said, “The excitement is premium. It’s amazing to see Premium Trust bank supporting us.
