Comprehensive High School Holds 45th Inter-house Sports Competition

To boost students’ competitive spirit and nurture talents, Comprehensive High School, Ilutitun, has held the 45th edition of its yearly Inter-House Sport competition.

The elated students were joined by their proud parents, teachers, school management, guests, other schools invited for relay races, and well wishers who trooped out in numbers to watch the learners battle for honours.

Speaking at the event held at School Field, the school Principal Wole Omosule, said the school places premium on sport activities and encourages students to showcase their talents in sport.

Noting that it was really awesome seeing children happy and competing with one another in a friendly manner, the administrator said the school has made strides in many competitions winning laurels within and outside the state.

“We are really keen about our students standing out wherever they find themselves,” he said.

“To uncover more talents, he stressed the need for the country to always celebrate sport talents and support them to build on their skills”.

“He thanked God for making the inter-house sports festival a success and appreciated everyone who participated in one way or the other to make it worthwhile”.

The four houses competed for honours in track and field events such as 100m race, 200m race, 800m,1500m, relay race, long jump, and high jump.

Step the plank race made its debut with winner carting home #2000.

However,schools were not invited for relay

Highlights of the event was the presentation of trophies to winners which saw Yellow House, lifting the first place trophy, followed by Green House and Blue House in second and third position respectively while Red House settled at the bottom of the table
