Award-winning Yoruba Sportscaster of Crest 91.1FM, Ibadan, Olusola Alabi also known as “Ijobasports” is set to organise Football Competition for physically challenged people in Nigeria.
The football competition tagged “ijobasports Blind Soccer Championship” is mainly to promote and gear up the ability of physically challenged people and to showcase their talents to the whole world
It’s not new that physically challenged people participate in football activities.
They are registered with “Nigeria Blind Sports Association” (NBSA) which is cut across the Southwest, Nigeria.According to the brain behind the project, Olusola Alabi, the project is beyond football activities alone
.“This competition will be a way of supporting every member of the Association and showcasing their skills to the world, they have been doing excellently over the years without anybody supporting them, they struggle to be doing something great beyond people’s imagination and it’s time for people to know that truly there is ability in disability”.
He said.Ijobasports Blind Soccer Championship will be an annual event for the Nigeria Blind Sports Association across the southwest and this year’s edition will comprise Osun, Lagos, Oyo and Ondo State.
