…Indomitables target fifth straight league win
FC ONE Rocket’s new found momentum faces a tough challenge against Vandrezzer FC in a derby at the Eket Stadium by four o’clock in the afternoon today.
The Indomitables have recorded four straight wins, which have seen them rise from trailing hitherto league leaders, Rovers FC by five points to topping the Nigeria National League (NNL) Southern Conference Group B1 log with two points; the recent one being the 2-1 away triumph over Rovers FC.
After the reverse fixture ended goalless, Ndubisi Ndah’s men will look to reign over their neighbours who have been struggling lately. A 1-1 home draw against Rovers in Eket and last Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Warri Wolves have brought discomfort to Niambele Mohammed and his side.
Interestingly, the Indomitables have never lost to the Lions of Naija, both in friendlies and competitive games. A 1-1 friendly draw, a 2-1 Akwa Ibom State FA Cup semi final win for FC ONE Rocket, and a goalless draw earlier in the season define the three encounters between both sides.
