The Ondo state Coaches Election scheduled for tomorrow is hanging on a balance as some delegates whose names were endorsed from their respective zones and local governments were amazed to find their names replaced.
The electoral committee released Voters’ list on Saturday,it was marred with alots of irregularities and infractions.
Ondo South Senatorial district was badly hit with the manipulations as many names submitted from the zone were replaced.
The Electoral committee have been figured to be the brain behind the ignoble acts.
Sportgister Nigeria learnt that the Voters’ list submitted from the southern zone was endorsed by the BOT member from the zone Boye Ogunderu and Former PRO of the Association Dimeji Abimbola who are the leaders from the zone.
One of the delegates who doubles as the coordinator of Okitipupa Coaches association Itiolu Emmanuel alleged that electoral committee have been bought.
” Can you imagine that the names from Irele local government have been replaced ,even okitipupa and Ese-odo local governments were also affected”
” Ordinarily the electoral committee supposed to be an unbiased arbiters but the reverse is the case now as the electoral committee have sold their conscience on the altar of peanuts”
Another delegate front Irele local government whose name has been replaced John Lijoka has vowed to not succumb to intimidation and Manipulations
” My name being replaced?,the electoral committee are involving in Child’s play”
” l want to assure them that l will vote tomorrow,no one can stop me from voting because l am a legitimate delegate from my local government”
Emmanuel Agungbe from Ese-odo local government has had his name replaced
Agungbe said ” Can you imagine that my name was replaced with someone who is not from Ese-odo local government and doesn’t reside there?
” The electoral committee have passed a message across that they cannot be trusted”
Sportgister Nigeria recalls that the Election earlier scheduled for last month was postponed premised on Illegal dissolution of the last Administration by the BOT
It is yet to be seen if election will hold tomorrow.
