Sunshine Stars Head Coach, Edith Olumide Agoye has expressed disappointment over the Oyo state government and the management of Shooting Stars’ delay in redeeming the pledge made shortly after he tendered his resignation letter from Shooting Stars on August 10, 2022.
Recall that Edith Olumide Agoye after nine years with Shooting Stars parted ways on mutual consent with Shooting Stars Sports Club under Hon. Babatunde Olaniyan ‘Akoro’.
Owing to Edith Olumide Agoye’s nine years with the Oluyole Warriors where he served as an assistant coach and head coach and apart from guiding the team to pick a promotion ticket back to the elite league in the 2020/21 season, after four unsuccessful attempts.
The Management of Shooting Stars through a letter signed by Hon. Babatunde Olaniyan had promised to send Agoye on a trip to the United Kingdom for a higher coaching course, as a way of appreciating his immense contributions to the team, with a promise by Oyo State Government to bankroll it.
