A front runner in the bid to become the next Chairman of the Ekiti State Football Association, Mr Anthony Bamidele Ojo popularly known as Don La Chicken has visited Ijero Local Government to officially inform the Local Football Council led by Mr Ojo Ife about his aspiration and mission.
While briefing the Ijero LFC Execitive on his intention to become the next Ekiti State FA Chairman, Mr Ojo sought the backing of the executive and members of Ijero Local Football Council and all football stakeholders owth an assurance not to let them down if given the mandate to steer the ship of football in the state.
The Ijero LFC Executive as well as the chairman and secretary of the coaches, Referees and Club Owners Association converged on the Ijero Township stadium on Tuesday to meet and rolub minds with the FA chairmanship aspirant.
The Ijero LFC stakeholders described Don La Chicken as a true reflection of commitment and dedication to grassroots football development with proven track records, hence he was assured of unalloyed support as a son of the soil.
The aspirant who was urged not to derail in his key point agenda was also urged to be a team player and ensure an open door policy, if he eventually emerges as the winner of the May 27 Ekiti FA chairmanship election.
Mr Anthony Bamidele Ojo who hails from Ijero Local Government area of Ekiti State used the occasion to sensitize and motivate some budding football talents who converged for a Football Scouting Program powered by him at the Ijero Township stadium.
While promising to prioritize players welfare and career, he vowed to implement policies that will develop grassroots football and expose Ekiti youngsters to global scene.
Don La Chicken as he’s widely known was the first aspirant to obtain the intent form in preparation for the Ekiti FA chairmanship election.
