In furtherance to 2023/2024 national physical fitness test, today 5th of August, 2023 Ekiti State (Football) Referee Council held her physical fitness test trial at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado Ekiti.
The physical fitness test trial which covers all active referees from grade 1-3 and all Referees in Training inclusive.
The trial was painstakingly supervised by the Council training wing with Elders of the Council using the high standard of the national fitness test modalities.
The Council boss Mr. Sina Oguntuase described the trial test as best thing to do for the referee under his watch in order to ascertain their level of fitness as the national fitness is drawing nearer.
Mr. Oguntuase also beseech the Referees in Training that participated not to see the endurance race test as a strenuous activity but to see it as part of the rudiments of becoming a referee.
Mr. Adetule Kehinde the Immidiate past Council Secretary, also encouraged the young lads to make sure they always keep the pace up as he noted that without passing physical fitness test either at Zonal or National you are not a referee.
Ekiti State Football Association boss, Chief Oluwole Oloworemo was also in attendance to observe the physical fitness test trial.
Chief Oloworemo gave kudos to the Council for organising the unique activity that will gear the mental alertness of the Ekiti referees, and promise of proper support of referee program, also he prayed for journey mercy over referees that will be undergoing the national fitness test soon.
