EKSFRC Lectures and Trains RITs In Gbonyin Local Government

As part of efforts to develop the art of refereeing across the grassroots in Ekiti State, Ekiti Football Referees Council under the leadership of Mr. Oguntuase Adesina recently unveiled 60 Referees in Training (RITs), courtesy of Engr Kayode Ademolekun Foundation (KAF).

The RITs who joined the umpire aspect of the round leather game at tender age have a lot of prospects and potential to maximize to get to the peak.

To sharpen their knowledge and skills which are required to make them super human to decide within second on human activities during football match, aside rigorous examination they will face to become professionals in art of refereeing, class room lectures and field training were conducted for the RITs in Aisegba community Grammar School, Aisegba Ekiti (ACGS).

The 60 RITs (Referees in Training) were selected from 8 secondary school in Gbonyin/Ayekire local govt area were introduced to the laws of the game and spirit behind the round leather game in a special lecture and training session that was sponsored by Engr Kayode Adamolekun foundation who is a native of Aisegba Ekiti

The Council Chairman charged the RITs to be focused and promised that the exercise will continue and extend to other local governments in line with the vision of the new FA Chairman; Chief Olu Oloworemo in developing football activities in all areas in Ekiti State.

Mr. Oguntuase also thanked the sponsor, Engr. Kayode Ademolekun for his kindness, generosity and compassion for the coming generation not just in Gbonyin/Ayekire LGs but in the entire of Ekiti State.
