Following the string of poor results the management of the Zambia premier league club Zanaco FC has announced the sacking of the ex-Nigeria International Emmanuel Amuneke.

Amuneke and his assistant Emeka Amadi have been working as coaching consultants to the club but the recent poor showing of the club was responsible for their actions.

Zanaco has failed to win a game in the last 8 matches and suffered a 0-1 home defeat to NAPSA Stars in the last game

The management announced their sacking through an official statement on Monday afternoon alongside team head coach Kevin Kaindu.

They also announced the appointment of Wedson Nyirenda as an interim manager until the end of the season.

Zanaco is placed 13th on the 18-team table after math day 28.
