Rangers International young left back Kenneth Igboke has revealed optimism over the team performance in the upcoming 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

” First of all, I’m looking forward to how I will defend and contribute to the team this season, ” Said Igboke.
” So, I think with some of my qualities to the team, I believe that we can achieve better results this season. “
Igboke, who proved during the second stanza of last season as one of the best young and impressive left backs in the league implies that with his speed it will be easier for him to help to contribute a lot to the team than he did last season.
” I’m someone who has agility and speed. I think with my speed I can cover some distance during a game, and I’m also a call playing left sided defender, ” Igboke explained.
” for this season, I will be working hard to contribute a lot to the team, and also perform better than I did last season.”
The young defender was asked if he had communicated with the new head coach, Fidelis IIechukwu on what position he will play for the team this season.
” No, I’ve not spoke with the coach yet, but think for the little one he has taught us. His style of play will favour me a lot because it’s the same playing style I had with my former club Rangers Feeders, ” said Igboke.
” so, I do love his style of play and how he want the team to play, so I think with this kind of style of play, I will get goals and assists this season.
Lastly, the Enugu-born defender, who will be starting the season as Rangers International first choice left back feels optimistic that the seven-time NPFL champions target is to win the league this season.
” The club target is to carry the league, and also redeem the image of Rangers International which I believe that coach Ilechukwu is capable to do, ” The defender concludes.
” I’ll also give 100% to see that the club will lift the trophy at the end of the season. So, I have beliefs that with the way the coach wants us to play, I’m convinced that we are going to fight to win the title this season.
Igboke will start the 2023/24 NPFL season as Rangers International first choice left back under Head Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu as they continued their preparation ahead of the new football season, with the league expected to kickoff on August 26.
