The opponent of Nigeria’s Flamingos in the loser’s final has been confirmed after Germany lost narrowly to Spain.
Despite high expectations, the Nigerian girls succumbed to their counterpart from Colombia 6-5 on penalties in the first semi-final played on Wednesday.
In the second semi-final, Spain broke the heart of Germany late in the game with a 90th-minute goal and qualified for the final.
The result means that Flamingos will face the European champions in the loser’s final and it will be a replay of their opening group match
