The 2021/2022 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Rivers United has officially unveiled five new players ahead of the 2023/24 Football season.
With 23 days until the start of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, teams in the league have been actively working in the transfer market to bolster their squad ahead of the new football season.
The former League Champions, Rivers United are not left out of this as the pride of Rivers has now confirmed the signing of five new players that would help them to be a formidable team.
With the departure of midfields Morice chukwu, and the released of both Kenechukwu Agu and Chiamaka Madu after the expiration of their contracts. And also the departure of Cameroonian defender Nadsi Kadiang, it was expected that the Stanley Eguma side would be in the transfer market to bolster their squad with more quality players.
However, after weeks of intense negotiations, Rivers United in a tweet on Wednesday afternoon has now confirmed the arrival of new players to their ranks.
The unveiling of the new players was confirmed on Wednesday. The players are as follows
Endurance Ebedebiri – defender from Bayelsa United
Fatai Abdullahi – midfielder from Enyimba
Uche John – defender from Rangers
Ivorian forward Bernard Kouassi attacker from TS Galaxy
Adekunle Adeleke – defender from Enyimba International. And the unveiling of forward Deputy Etcheta, who they confirmed from Bendel Insurance.
Rivers United will compete in the CAF confederation Cup after finishing third at the NPFL Championship playoff held in Lagos.
