In the wake of recent controversial defeat in the hand of Lobi Stars of MAKURDI,the former Secretary of Sunshine Stars of Akure Clement Olagundoye has urged the team’s supporters club not to be unruly.
He made this disclosure in chat with Sportgister Nigeria in Akure.
“The interim IMC headed by our own person,Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye has been working tooth and nail to see that sanity is brought back to Nigeria Premier League and from the look of things,we have seen teams that have been sanctioned as the league progresses”.
“So I want to appeal to my friends and well-wishers who are members of Ondo State Supporters Club to take everything easy with the officiating officials and if there is any foul play on the field, the club has the legitimate right to write protest letter, since the game has been recorded down and forward it to the appropriate quarters for justice”
He concluded by urging the supporters not to take laws into their hands
“No matter the level of provocative refereeing on the field, don’t take laws into your hands and react because the present crop of IMC team are no nonsense people which by all means what to return the lost glory of Nigeria Premier League back not minding whose horse is affected”
Sunshine Stars are billed to face Bayelsa United in Akure tomorrow in Matchday Six of the Nigeria professional football league.
