Ondo ladies this morning beat Odigbo Ladies by two goals to nil at Ore township stadium in Ore, Odigbo local government area of Ondo state.
Coach Japheth led-side started brightly with many early chances missed by his players.
The Odigbo side led by coach Dimeji Abimbola absorbed the early pressure from their counterparts from Ondo but they had their goalie Grace to thank who made strings of early saves to put the match at stalemate.
However, Despite Grace heroic’s displayed, One of her teammates handled the ball inside the box which left the center referee with no option than to point to the spot for a penalty.
Oyewole faith converted the spot-kick successfully to put the Ondo side ahead.
All efforts by the Odigbo ladies were proved abortive by the resolute Ondo side.
Akintuli Yemi sealed the match for the Ondo side late on with an exquisite long range shot.
The duo of Roseline and Grace of Ore Community high school shone for the Odigbo with superlative displays.
The two coaches expressed satisfactions with the performances of their respective sides.
The match had in attendance the chairman Ondo state Coaches association, Mr kayode with other dignitaries.
