An experimental Future Eagles side were held to a 1-1 draw against a Nationwide League team, Like Minds FC on Thursday morning in a hugely entertaining game at the Goal Project pitch in Abuja.
Although the Baby Eagles only rescued a draw with a 75th minute strike from Alex John , they deserved it as they showed plenty of ambition, drive and attacking flair to encourage their coach, Haruna Ilerika.
Like Mind FC went ahead in the first half through their top striker after 28 minutes before Alex John equalised for Future Eagles in the second half.
The Future Eagles of Nigeria are still unbeaten after 2 games as the team continues its build up ahead of the Dream Cup invitational tourney in Japan.
The Baby Eagles will square up with another selected side on Friday by 10am at same venue.
