Victor Boniface is delighted to open his goal account for Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen and has also challenged himself to do more for the club.
Die Werkself thrashed Borussia Monchengladbach 3-0 in the Rhine Derby at the Borussia Park.
Boniface scored twice in the game and missed other chances.
Despite his impressive showing in the game, the Nigerian insisted he can offer more to the side.
“I’m happy about the two goals, but I can still play better. I had more chances and I think there is still room for improvement,” he said after the game.
Boniface joined Xabi Alonso’s side from Belgian Pro League club, Union St Gilloise this summer.
He has scored twice and provided one assist in two league outings for the club.
