Gombe United has called on the football-loving fans in the state to rally round the team as the season approaches the decisive end.
The Savannah Scorpions are fighting to escape relegation from the Nigeria Premier Football League.
United will host El-Kanemi Warriors at the Pantami Township Stadium on Sunday.
Head coach of the team, Aliyu Zubairu said the players are fully ready for the battle ahead but urged the fans to play their part in cheering them as they seek to navigate through the business end of the campaign.
“Gombe United needs the support of the fans more this time around as the season enters its final stages,” Zubairu told DAILY POST.
“The players are ready for the battle ahead but the fans need to support them to go through the battle.
Gombe United currently occupies the seventh position on the Group B table.
