IIutitun Primary schools football Competition: Amazing Grace beat Camp David on penalties as actions kickstart

The 2022 Ilutitun Primary schools football Competition commenced yesterday as Amazing Grace nursery and primary school pipped Camp David nursery and primary school 4-2 on penalties after thrilling 2-2 draw.

Olorunjuni Gbenga who was unarguably the best player on the pitch yesterday scored a quick-fire double within the first three minutes of Actions.

Gbenga curled a brilliant 35-yard free-kick with one minute of action.

He doubled the advantage the 2 minutes later when his ballistic shot evaded Camp David’s goalkeeper.

Camp David scored a late two goals through Abisoye Abayomi and Richard Friday to restore parity.

As a winner must emerge, Penalties were used to decide the winner in which Amazing Grace emerged victorious having successfully converted four of its five penalties against two of their opponents.

Earlier,The donor Chief Prince Tade Olowogboye represented by Mr Akinrotimi Dotun urged the pupils to be comported on the pitch.

He enjoined to showcase their God’s given potentials.

In the Same vein,The chairman school Sports Mr Ayetan implored the pupils to adhere strictly to the tournament set rules.
