Governor AbduRrahaman AbdulRasaq of Kwara has endorsed the staging of a sports administration course for sports officers, organizing secretaries, and other stakeholders in schools and government agencies to be organized by the Nigeria Olympic Committee.
According to the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bola Magaji, who represented the Executive Governor of Kwara State at the closing ceremony of the well-attended Olympic Solidarity Course, the Kwara State Government is committed to opening the minds of our administrators to the new rudiments in all sports.
He commended the participants for their resilience to cover the three-day course, which attracted experts from the academic sports ministry and experienced sports consultants in Nigeria.
In his goodwill message, Olympian Hameed Adio praised the Habu Gumel-led NOC for spreading the gospel of building a formidable administration to enhance sports development in all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria, adding that the spirit of participation will continue to drive the Olympics.

- Communique for the just concluded Olympics Solidarity/Nigeria Olympics Committee Sports Administration Course, Kwara State 2023
Held at the Sultan Hotel between Monday, May 8th, and Wednesday, May 10th, 2023. Governor of the State of Harmony, Kwara State His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahaman AbdulRasaq, ably represented by Mallam Bolakele Mogagi, the executive chairman of the Sports Commission, thanks them for their enormous support in connection with the three-day consolidated training and hosting of diverse sports administrators across West Africa particularly Nigeria and Cameroon.
- In the same vein, all the dynamic representatives of the “International Olympics Committee” and LOC were commended for creating the opportunities for all participants to come together and learn the five (5) major sections of the Olympics Games, which are:
The principle, structure, and leadership of the Olympics movement
The Games
Athletes at the heart of the Olympic movement
Promoting the Olympics’ values and sports
Management Skills
- The communiqué also commends the NFF for their enormous support of football development in Nigeria. We charge the NFF to improve the football academy in Nigeria by providing training platforms for academic owners in FIFA CONNECT and IMS (Transfer Machine System), which will enable quality data collection in Nigeria as a whole.
- The participants eulogized the highly productive resource personnel for their education, wisdom, and intellectual survey. The group includes: Mr. Nweri Emmanuel, Mr. Oyedeji Olamide, Dr. Toyin Aluko, Dr. George Ashiru, Dr. Mrs. Oluwaseun Nariwoh, Prof. Fumilayo Leah-Dominic, Dr. Toba Bamitele, and Prof. Fasan Clement.
- The participants applauded the Nigerian youths and parents for standing by the proprietors and owners of academics in Nigeria. Without the raw materials, there will be no product. We therefore advise and strongly encourage parents to allow their children (especially girls) to fully participate in education and sports all over Nigeria.
- We have commended all the principal actors and facilitators of this event, in particular LASORA SPORTS CONSULTANCY AGENCY, for their courage, dedication, tenacity, and perseverance to see to the logical conclusion of this intellectually inclined program for this sport administration course (OLYMPICS SOLIDARITY/NIGERIA OLYMPICS COMMITTEE SPORT ADMINISTRATION COURSE).
In conclusion, the communiqué appeals to successful participants to reflect all they have learned in their various communities (school, academy, state, and general environment).
