NPFL group “B” table toppers Lobi Stars are in Akure to keep a date with Sunshine Stars in a match day15 clash slated for tomorrow at the Akure Township Stadium, Ondo State.
After a temporary setback in the Matchday 14 fixture in Yenagoa, the Makurdi-based side have regrouped quickly to ensure the season’s target which is securing a playoff ticket at the end of the abridged league is achieved.
Therefore, Head Coach of Lobi Stars, Mohammed Baba Ganaru and his assistants are focused on yet another important clash as they seek a positive result to consolidate on the table.
Interestingly, the confidence on the side of the visitors is intact as bullish Elijah Ani and Wasiu Alalade are also ready to give their best to help the team achieve its mission in Akure. The duo has combined to score three goals since their arrival.
Joseph Atule is no doubt available for the Makurdi-based side, alongside Umar Abba, Godfrey Utim, Suur Kumaga, Moses Tsehuan and John Lazarus as Lobi Stars hunt for their second away win in the current campaign.
Head Coach of Sunshine Stars, Edith Agoye and other members of the coaching crew will welcome the former league winners with cautious optimism because they know the present Lobi Stars squad is built to wreck havoc at any given time.
The coach of the ‘Akure Gunners’ as Sunshine Stars are called will turn to the likes of Ekerrete Udom, Pam Mafeng, Yusuf Ibrahim, and David Onovo to curtail the rampaging Lobi Stars strikers.
The reversed fixture in Jos saw Lobi Stars securing all three points and the Makurdi based side is in Akure with a renewed vigour to stop the sun from shinning in the ancient city.
