Tornadoes Targets Double Over Wikki Tourists, As The Ikon Allah Boys Aims To Consolidate On Road Victory:
Still basking in the euphoria of last weekend’s victory in far away Uyo against Dakkada FC in a feat that earned them 6 points over fellow top flight side, after a double header, having earlier defeated Dakkada to draw the curtains on first stanza of the league, Niger Tornadoes are rearing to consolidate.
The Coach Abubakar Bala’s side stunned hosts Wikki Tourists in the reverse fixture when they recorded a 2-0 victory over the Kaura Boys in Bauchi during the first round.
The boys are fired up for tomorrow’s game, as they aim to consolidate on the away victory and also determined to inflict the double on mid-week visitors.
TEAM NEWS:
🔹Shola Abdulrareem is all clear to make his much anticipated debut for the Ikon Allah Boys after his mid season transfer from Wikki Tourists.
🔹 Junior Int’l, Munir Idris rejoins the team ahead of tomorrow’s clash.
🔹Musa Wakili has shaken off the injury that kept him out of the game against Dakkada.
Tornadoes were the only team that won on the road in the MD10 fixtures of the NPFL23.
A win in tomorrow’s encounter will take Tornadoes just a point behind the chasing park, Rivers United and Lobi Stars who have their game placed on hold due to the formers’ continental engagement.
