Naija Super 8 Champions : Paul Offor feels optimistic over Sporting Lagos in the NPFL next season

Sporting Lagos head coach Paul Offor has revealed optimism over his team chance in the up coming 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The young tactician who led the newly promoted side to a historical fiction after they defeated Remo Stars 4-2 on penalties to crowned champions of the Naija Super 8 tournament on Sunday evening, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

Speaking with the journalists moments after the encounter, Offor explained that he is optimism that his team will play more better in their first season in the NPFL.

” This is football, we love it it because the players, the coaches love it, even the fans too, ” said Offor.

” I know that the season is going to be more better than this, because we are going to improved in the areas that we didn’t do better during this super 8 tournament.

The young gaffer, who has showed to be one of the fast and growing young coach in the country was asked If the formation was the reason his side plays more better during games.

” Yes, the most important thing the formation does not matter, but the function we want them to play from. Because we’ve being working and that’s why you see some old players that have played in the team because they have already understand how we build up in the area of transition from defence to attack, so it is something we have worked on as a team.”

Paul Offor would be proud of what he has achieved with Sporting Lagos as they went home with the Sum of 25 million Naira prize money for winning the Naija Super 8 tournament.
