Akwa United head coach Fatai Osho has revealed that he is happy and proud with the development that young centre back Wisdom Ndom has had since he came into the first team.

The young defender had an impressive game in the defence as he helped the Promise keepers to secured a 1-0 win over Rivers United, through a 57 minutes strike by Uche Collins, and also booked a place in the semi finals of the Naija Super 8 tournament.

While speaking with the journalists after the encounter, Fatai Osho praised the performance of the starlet, says he don’t see staying in the Nigeria by December.

” Wisdom is good with the ball, and his confidence and judgement is Unprecedented, ” Said Fatai.

” However, he thought that it was a prayer, but I said no that I was not praying for him, but by December I don’t see him staying in this country, because he’s a young talent that has boldness of confidence.”

” they way we want to play, we need defenders than are good with the ball even in the worst of situation, they can locate the midfielders so with that wisdom is perfect in that aspect. you can take him to any team, he’s going to play because he is a bolder of talent, and The Nation should wait for him.”

The former Enyimba International gaffer also said that the idea in the tournament is to give more opportunities to players who haven’t had enough minutes to play.

” it’s an Avenue for us to give some players in the team the opportunity to play, because we have players who haven’t played a part in the opening two games in the tournament,” Fatai explained.

” I think it is an Avenue for us to see what each player can offer us, so that by the time will go back to Uyo then we would see those that can stay with us and those that will be leaving the club.”

” But so far the boys has been expressing themselves in the field of play, but we glad to secured a spot in the semi finals of the tournament, because it is not an easy tasks to defeat former League Champions Rivers United, so a lot of kudos to the players.”
