Dependable wing-back for Sporting Lagos FC, Emmanuel Nwokeji has expressed optimism that his side will defeat Remo Stars in the final of the Naija Super 8 tournament.
Speaking with with the journalists ahead of the clash against Remo Stars later today, Nwokoji attributed his top-notch performances in the team to hard work and coaches instructions.
The former Heartland FC player, who provided the assist for the second goal against Akwa United in the semi-finals of the competition, revealed that he made the right choice to play for the ‘noisy Lagosians.’
“The expectation is to win them again in the final. I scored before and hopefully I hope to score again or assist.
“I made the right choice to play for Sporting Lagos and the result has been awesome. It all boils down to the coaches instruction, hard training and improving myself.
“Initially, I started as a left-back before they now moved to wing-back and it has helped my game. It all boils down to be focused in the game and instructions.”
