Napoli FC are reportedly interested in signing Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku should Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen leave in the summer, according to a report from Fichajes.
Osimhen is leading the race to win the Golden Boot in Italy. He has scored 23 goals thus far in 29 appearances for Napoli this season and played a crucial role in the club winning their third Serie A title.
The 24-year-old Nigerian striker has been linked with top clubs in Europe, including Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Real Madrid following his blistering form since he joined Napoli three years ago.
“Lukaku is in excellent form after overcoming physical problems and Napoli could invest the money obtained from the sale of Osimhen, who has offers of more than 100 million euros, to secure the signing of the forward talent.
“Lukaku’s experience in Serie A makes him an attractive candidate for Napoli. His physical performance, finishing skills, and ability to create space would fit perfectly into the team’s playstyle.
“However, they will compete with other clubs interested in the Belgian striker, so they will have to offer a considerable sum to Inter Milan to secure his signing.” Fichajes reported.
Lukaku provided the assist that sealed Inter Milan’s place in the final of the Chanpions League against fellow city rivals, A.C. Milan yesterday, at the San Siro stadium.
The striker who is on loan from Chelsea, has gone on to hit form in the tail end of the season, scoring seven times and providing five assists in his last 12 matches in all competitions for Inter.
