It’s two over two for Nigeria Customs and Plateau Rocks in the Savannah Conference play-offs of the NBBF Zenith Women’s Basketball League going on in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
Nigeria Customs, the Excise Ladies recorded their second conservative win in the Savannah Conference play-offs by hitting Air Warriors 64-48 points while the Ladies from The Plateau were just too strong for the Nigeria Army as they ambushed the soldiers by 64-51 points.
In the opening game of Match Day 2 of the Savannah Conference play-offs, winless Kada Angels of Kaduna went down to Nasarawa Amazons 63-58 points. That’s Amazon’s first win in the play-offs.
On Thursday in the Savannah Conference, Customs will open proceedings against Nigeria Army by mid day, two hour later, hapless Kada Angels meets Plateau Rocks that is likely to continue it’s impressive run and Air Warriors faces Nasarawa Amazons in the last game of the day by 4pm at the Basketball Court of Jos Township Stadium.
In the Atlantic Conference play-offs holding in Akure, the Ondo State capital, home girls, Sunshine Angels lost to Bayelsa Blue Whales 61-44 while First Bank Basketball Club reduced IGP Queens too ruble 80-30, a 50 points winning margin.
The top four teams in the Savannah and top four in the Atlantic Conference will qualify for the grand finale of the 2023 NBBF Zenith Women’s Basketball League scheduled to hold later in the year.
