In Italy, Victor Osimhen was on target for Napoli again as thet beat AS Roma 2-1 in Sunday’s Serie A clash at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.
The 24-year-old broke put Napoli infront in the 17th minute after receiving a cross with his chest, controlled with his thigh before volleying into the roof of the net.
The goal against Roma is Osimhen’s fifth goal in his last five games in all competition, and he leads the Serie A goal scorers chat with 14 goals in 16 matches.
Napoli, on 53 points, are now 13 points clear of second- placed Inter Milan on the league table.Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman was on target again as Atalanta defeated visiting Sampdoria 2-0 in the Serie A on Saturday.
It was Lookman’s 12th goal in his debut season in Serie A, just two goals behind top scorer Victor Osimhen.
After Joakim Pedersen had opened scoring for Atalanta in the 42nd minute, Lookman then doubled the lead in the 57th minute, and has now scored five goals in his last three league games.
David Okereke was also on target but it was not enough as Cremonese lost 2-1 to visiting Inter Milan in the Serie A on Saturday.
Okereke put Cremonese infront in the 11th minute before Lautaro Martinez scored twice for Inter.The 25-year-old has now scored five goals in the league this season.

Cremonese remain bottom with eight points while Inter Milan climb up to second spot on 40 points, 10 points behind leaders Napoli.
Super Eagles duo of Tyronne Ebuehi and Ola Aina were in action as Empoli and Torino played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in Saturday’s Serie A game. Ebuehi, who was making his 11th appearance played for the entire duration, while Aina has made 11 appearance and netted one goal, came on in the 84th minute.

In England, Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored the winning goal for Leicester City as they beat League Two club, Walsall 1-0 in their FA Cup fourth round tie at the Bescot Stadium on Saturday.

Iheanacho, who also scored in Leicester City’s 1-0 victory against Gillingham in the third round has now scored 17 goals in 23 FA Cup appearances.
Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo was back in action for Southampton as theybeat Blackpool 2-1 to progress into round 16 of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.
Prior to the class at Saint Mary’s Stadium with Blackpool, Aribo had missed the Saint’s last four games.
The 26-year-old played for 90 minutes as Southampton returned to winning ways.

In Turkey, Babajide David and Henry Onyekuru and were on the winning team as Adana Demirspor recorded a 2-1 win away to Ahmed Musa’s Sivasspor.
Babajide scored his first goal of 2023 and his fourth of the campaign in the 56th minute to double the visitors’ advantage after Emre Akbaba had handed them a first-half lead.Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa was a 90th-minute substitute for Sivasspor in the encounter.
In Spain, Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala scored a hat-trick for Barcelona as they thrashed Granadilla Tenerife 6-0 in the Spanish women’s league on Sunday.
It was Oshoala’s second consecutive hat-tricks, as she also scored three goals in Barcelona’s 7-0 thrashing of Levantes Las Planas five day ago.
