After recently sanctioning of ABU workers FC and Ambassador FC both of Kaduna state for match-Fixing, another similar scandal is set to rock Nigerian football.
This time around it is between Beautiful Tours FC and Hyperbuzz FC
Hyperbuzz FC needed goals to topple their closet rivals The king FC,they did so in a questionable manner by thrashing Beautiful Tours FC by six goals to one.
The organizers of NLO have suspected foul play and begun investigations on the said match.
The statement from NLO reads:
The Nationwide League One Secretariat hereby wish to draw your attention to the above listed league match played on 15th May 2023 in Bwari Stadium.
The Nationwide League One Secretariat has placed the match under review, this was due to unusual high number of goals scored in the match being the last match of the group.
The Nigeria Football Federation Technical department will study the full 90 minutes to detect if there are any elements of compromise.
This decision shall be communicated to Nigeria Football Federation for further sanctions.
