NNL: Ijebu United Stun Joy Cometh in Lagos

Ogun State based club side Ijebu United started their campaign in the 2023 Nigeria National League season with an away win over Joy Cometh on Wednesday in Lagos.

The host took the lead in the 19th minute before 2 goals in the second half in the space of 12 minutes condemned Joy Cometh to a home defeat at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

Ifeanyi Ihemekwele equalized in the 72minutes while substitute Kingsley Dennis got the winning goal that separated the two teams in the 84th minute.

Head coach of Ijebu United Tajudeen Fesojaye praised the attitude of his boys for the comeback victory and urge the fans of the club to keep supporting the club as they continue their push for a great season.

Ijebu United is playing in the Southern Conference B2 alongside other teams like Smart City FC, Crown FC, Sporting Lagos, and Gateway United
