Head coach of Nigeria National League (NNL) side, FC ONE Rocket, Ndubuisi Ndah has praised his players following the 2-2 victory over Warri Wolves Football Club.
Goodnews Paul opened the scoring for the hosts on the stroke of half-time, while Okere Shedrack equalised for Warri Wolves a minute before regulation time.
Bright Osah then netted the winning goal for FC ONE Rocket deep into stoppage time.
Ndah said the victory was a morale booster for his side as they begin their quest for promotion in the 2023 NNL season.
“It’s very important we start the season with a victory,” the Atlanta 1996 gold medal winner said after his team’s victory.
Other matchday one fixtures of the 2023 NNL season will be played on March 18.
