The Nigeria Premier Football League debutant turned on the power in the second half as Barnabas and Maurice scored to ensure that the Tigers avenged their 2-0 lost in the final match of the first stanza of the league.
Doma United started the game on a high with Usman Musa gifted with the best chances early in the 2nd and 16th minutes of the game but would see his effort go wide for a goal kick while his second was thunderous close shot which was parried away by the keeper in the opening phase
In a moment of magic were Usman Musa layed a loosed ball to an onrushing Majalisa whose low shot almost sent the Pantami crowd into wild celebrations but the keeper was there to kept the Tigers at bay
The moment the fans were waiting for came in the 51st minutes after Barnabas was left unmarked and Clement Junior’s pass fell to him and he fired in a closed shot through the goalkeeper to put United ahead and send the fans into wild celebrations.
Charles Chibuke who started from the bench today came on for Bidemi Owoku, got himself involved and almost extend United’s lead after he received a pass from Hillary from the left flank but his shot went wide.
In a fiercely contested final 10minutes. Lobi pushed for an equaliser while United worked to extend their lead but it was United who got the chance as Babas’ strike in front of the box hit the hand of Lobi defender on its way in and the referee pointed at the spot.
