One of the shocking results of the 2023 Nigeria Women Football League was recorded on Wednesday in Yenogoa as Delta Queens defeated Bayelsa Queens 1-2.
The defending champions have been unbeaten since the start of the season and have also maintained their position on top of the log.
After playing out a goalless draw in the first half, Chinaza Agoh put the away side ahead in the 51st minute before Chinyere Igbomalu scored an equaliser 4 minutes later.
Agoh broke the camel’s back with a late winner in the 90th minute and handed Bayelsa Queens their first defeat of the season.
