Group B table toppers Edo queens of Benin city at the Samuel Ogbemudia staduim Benin city lost 0-1 to visiting Abia Angel’s fc of Aba for the week 5 of the NWFL premiership 2022/2023 season.

The home team started with alot of determination setting the pace of the by pushing for early goal but the solid defending by the Abia Angel’s fc backline was too solid to break down.

Abia Angel’s fc pushed the game to another level with good football artistry with Maryanne Ohadiwe, Obasi Precious and Ijeoma Okeke tearing the home team defence to set up substitute Ibeh Nmesoma who nicely worked on her two markers to cross the ball to Nkechi Agams to hit the ball into the net beyond goalkeeper Nkiruka Obidinma to score for Abia Angel’s fc in the 54 minutes and her third goal in the league so far.

Abia Angel’s fc played good football with the likes of goalkeeper Inyene Etim making several saves to make sure her side went home with the maximum points and her teammates getting applause from the home fans for playing good football too.

Abia Angel’s fc are now second on the log with 10 points from 5 games and will continue the trip to Makurdi as they will be hosted by Nasarawa Amazon’s next week.
