The NWFL Premiership Super Six, and the title playoff competition is slated for May 5–12, 2023.
The organizers of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) have announced that the NWFL Premiership Super Six has been postponed.
Pulse Sports reports that Asaba, Delta State, will host the 2022–2023 NWFL Premiership Super Six, and the title playoff competition is slated for May 5–12, 2023.
The six participating clubs are Delta Queens, Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, Confluence Queens, Robo Queens, and Edo Queens.
Super Six Postponed Over WAFU U-20 Girls Championship
The NWFL Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, confirmed the postponement in a statement issued on Tuesday.
She said the new date for the Super 6 competition will be decided after the upcoming maiden WAFU-B U20 Women’s Cup in Ghana, held from May 20 to June 3 in Kumasi.
Nigeria’s U-20 girls are paired in group B with Niger Republic, Burkina Faso and Togo, while hosts, Ghana will slug it out with Benin Republic and Cote d’Ivoire in group A.
