Omolaoye Abiodun scored the winner as Gateway United FC defeated Beyond Limits FA to emerge champions of the 2023 Ogun FA Cup at Otunba Dipo Dina Int’l Stadium, Ijebu Ode.
The Toyin Ayinla tutored side who recorded shootout wins against Imperial FC and Ijebu United en route the final got the job done in full time.
After a cagey and a goalless first half, both sides committed more bodies at the restart but it was Omolaoye Abiodun’s solitary goal who made the absolute difference in the 57th minute.
The lanky midfielder was well positioned to nod in a loose ball off Samuel Akintola’s low cross.
