The long-awaited Ondo state Coaches Association’s election is to be held today.

There are alot of intrigues prior to today’s election,One of which is the allegation of Vote-buying being proposed by some Aspirants.

It was alleged that one of the Chairmanship candidates in today’s Ondo State Football Coaches Association (name withheld) in collaboration with a prominent sports personality are planning to influence today’s elections through votes buying, Sportgister.com.ng has gathered.

According Information made available to SportgisterNg reveals some Aspirants had earmarked between #25,000 and #30,000 to be given to each delegate from the three Senatorial Districts participating in today’s election.

It was reported that the duo are planning to dole out money to the delegates after snapping their votes as confirmations before payments.

This ugly scenario had never happened in the history of Ondo State Coaches Association until it is now introduced as part of strategies by the candidate’s godfather who wanted to use the election to test his popularity and also perpetuate himself in office.

Ondo State Football Coaches Association’s members are not gullible people. We are not robots!.

It is in this respect that we would like to advise delegates in today’s election not to allow themselves to be used or influenced with mere peanuts which would eventually damage their integrities.

Voters should kindly shine their eyes and never allow selfish elements compromise their consciences.

We concerned coaches in Ondo State are adverse to elections manipulations and so we would resist all attempts at monetizing the election as we had sworn never to allow any voter snap votes on election’s venue.

We seized this opportunity to call on Electoral Committee members and most particularly observers from National Football Coaches Association to outlaw use of phones or other gadgets at voting centre which constitutes electoral offences.

If Electoral Committee members fail to do this, we might be forced to take up the task within the limit of the law.

This is not a threat but a passionate appeal to those who are planning to snap their votes in exchange for money to think twice before they commit the despicable act as we are ready to prevent it by all possible means.

A word is enough for the wise!.
